The Main Library is located opposite Block A in the main FIT Campus at Samabula. Satellite Libraries are located at each of the Schools and centres.

The library provides print and electronic resources and an audiovisual collection to support the information and research needs of the students and staff of FIT. It also provides photocopying, printing services, equipment for use with audiovisual resources and on-line public access (OPAC), computers for word processing and Internet access and book binding facilities. The library facilitates and coordinates peer support services by training student tutors to help students requesting assistance.
At the beginning of each semester / trimester / block library orientation sessions are conducted for new students on the various services available in the library, including the use of online catalogue, e-resources and the Internet.

Membership is open to all staff, current students and Council members.
Registration of Borrowers
All library users must complete registration at the Client Services Desk in the Library before being allowed to remove items from the library. A valid FIT ID card must be provided to complete registration.

Books will be issued with a return date and this shall be official notification to the borrower for the date on which the books should be returned.A loan may be recalled by the library staff at any time.
Reservations:
A loan may be reserved by users. Upon return of the material the respective user will be notified through the library notice board. It is the user’s responsibility to check for the availability of the resources at the Issue Desk.
The reserved material will be removed from the Reservation shelf after 3 days.
